The Laffer curve
I was laying in bed yesterday, somewhat jet lagged, waiting to go to dinner, idly watching CNN, with this guy, Smerconish, talking about the newly passed GOP tax reform.

I talked about the arXiv in my previous post. If you are a theoretical phisicist and you write a paper you will post it there whenever it is ready. Everyday (Friday and Saturday excluded) at 8PM Eastern US Time the new papers of the day will appear on the website. Notice in also that the ‘X’ in arXiv is supposed to be a greek ‘chi’ so that arXiv is pronounced ‘archive’. The following is a screenshot of papers titles and abstracts from a random Friday.
Is it possible to rate a physicist (?)
My boss has been away for a couple of weeks. I’m in that weird limbo between the completion of a project and the beginning of another one. Uncertain about what to do next and somewhat bored to even start thinking. I figured that all I needed was some good old ego boost. Didn’t turn out as I thought.
